THE RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

March 30th - April 5th Update:

This week we will follow along with the recommendations of the Department of Health, our community councils, governments and school boards. On-field training sessions will not take place this week and games for the upcoming March 30th - April 3rd weekend will not be played. Training and games for the following week will be reassessed on Monday, April 6th. We will continue to implement plans and strategies to keep our players, coaches, staff and families safe.

We have been providing training sessions and activities for all of our Players to maintain their fitness and technical levels. These will be sessions that each player can do on their own and at their own location until we can get back out on the fields.

As there is no vaccine for COVID-19, the following measures are suggested:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Follow the CDC's recommendations for using a facemask.
  • CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including Coronavirus.
  • Face masks should be used by people who show symptoms to help prevent the spread of the disease.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water when hands are visibly dirty.
